Pierrette Coombs, R.Ac
Registered Acupuncturist
Pierrette studied for 3 years at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta and received a Diploma of Acupuncture. She has completed additional training in NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association), otherwise know as AcuDetox and PTSD/Trauma. Pierrette has a special interest in digestive disorders, mental/emotional balancing, trigger point dry needling and pain reduction.
After spending nearly a decade working on a continuing care unit in a hospital, Pierrette decided to pursue a career in alternative healing. Her passion for helping people and dedication to learning led her to uproot her family and move three times so she could be back in her home province to provide acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine to Western Newfoundland.
Pierrette works with people to balance their body so they can perform to their fullest potential. She believes in using a holistic approach to healing that aims to bridge the gap between Traditional Chinese Medicine and conventional treatment. She uses various modalities to heal the body and help restore balance, these include fire cupping, gua sha, electrostimulation, heat therapy, tuina and diet therapy.
In her spare time Pierrette has a wide array of interests…painting/decorating, baking, crafts, boating and camping are just some of the things she does to keep busy, most importantly she enjoys spending time with her family and appreciating the scenic beauty of the province.
